Despite the troubles in the newspaper industry, we remain optimistic about our future. We have an unwavering belief that among the needs and desires of residents in every community is a hunger to know what is happening on their street, in their neighborhood, at their schools and churches, at city hall and at the stores and businesses where they shop. We also believe everyone wants to live in and be a part of a safe, clean, economically vibrant community — a place where there is deep community pride and a sense of optimism.
One of the essential pillars to building that kind of community is a newspaper — print or digital — that is solely focused on local news, information and the people in the community; and on helping the local businesses reach new and existing customers with effective marketing and advertising.
When we do those two things, we are elevating everyone — residents, businesses and the community at large.
But we also know we are in a fast-changing media world. We know we must innovate, and we strive constantly to do that. As a result, the Observer Media Group is thriving and growing.
We have a saying in our company: Per ardua ad astra!… By struggle to the stars. That’s where we are headed.
